Banana Chocolate Chip Muffins

This is my modified banana chocolate chip muffin recipe
This recipe makes 16 regular sized muffins, filling the muffin papers 2/3 full.

In one bowl mix together:
1 3/4 cups flour
3/4 cup sugar
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
half cup hemp hearts or flax seed or anything hearty you want to add, won't mess up the recipe

In another bowl:
1 egg, whisked
1/2 cup oil
1/2 cup full fat yogurt, vanilla or plain
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup mashed bananas

Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix with a spatula. Add 3/4 cup chocolate chips (I use white and milk chocolate). If the batter is too dry and not liquidy enough, you can add a quarter cup of milk and stir again.
Put in muffin cups.
Bake at 350 degrees for 23-25 minutes.
Let rest for 5 minutes before removing from pan.

Easter Eggs

The kids love decorating Easter eggs! We always go the easy lazy way and just use crayons and food coloring. The kids like putting the eggs into the colors and seeing what happens. Missy especially liked the tie-dying technique using elastic bands.

Winter on the Bay

There is no shortage of snow on our bay this winter. We are halfway through April and we still have 17 feet of snow. The kids loved climbing the mountains and being pulled on the sled.

Tiny Dancer

Missy has enjoyed her first year of Ukrainian dancing. She is learning a new dance that she will perform 6 times over 3 days at a cultural festival in May. Her favorite part is getting her hair and make up done. This lipstick is called "On Fire Red", which she thought was awesome.

Happy Birthday Missy!

Our Missy turned 6 this week! She had a fun party with friends from school, daycare, and our street!
